Welcome to the new face of Body Tune Physical Therapy and Wellness
Dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, and vestibular disorders can affect every part of daily life. Patients often struggle with walking, driving, exercising, changing positions, shopping, or simply moving confidently without feeling unsteady or off balance. Many people begin avoiding activities they once enjoyed because they are worried about falling, becoming dizzy, or worsening their symptoms.
At Body Tune Physical Therapy, we provide specialized vestibular rehabilitation and balance therapy programs for patients throughout Layton and Ogden. Our physical therapists help patients reduce dizziness, improve balance, restore confidence, and safely return to normal daily activities.
Whether your symptoms started suddenly or have gradually worsened over time, physical therapy may help improve stability, mobility, and quality of life.
At Body Tune, we don’t believe in quick fixes. We believe in tune-ups—addressing movement patterns, strength, mobility, and recovery so your body can perform at its best for the long haul. Your body is built to move. Let us help you keep it tuned for life.
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to treat dizziness, vertigo, balance disorders, motion sensitivity, and inner ear dysfunction.
The vestibular system is located within the inner ear and brain and plays an important role in balance, eye movement, posture, and spatial awareness. When the vestibular system is not functioning properly, patients may experience dizziness, spinning sensations, instability, nausea, or difficulty walking.
Vestibular dysfunction can occur after illness, concussion, injury, aging, neurological conditions, or inner ear disorders.
Physical therapy helps retrain the brain and body to process balance and movement signals more effectively.

BPPV is one of the most common causes of vertigo and occurs when small calcium crystals inside the inner ear become displaced. Patients often experience spinning sensations when rolling in bed, looking up, bending over, or changing positions.
Vertigo causes the sensation that the room is spinning or moving. Symptoms may come and go or persist depending on the underlying condition.
Vestibular neuritis is an inner ear condition that may cause sudden dizziness, imbalance, nausea, and difficulty walking.
Labyrinthitis may affect both hearing and balance, leading to dizziness, instability, and motion sensitivity.
After a concussion, patients may experience dizziness, balance problems, headaches, visual disturbances, and difficulty tolerating movement.
As we age, balance naturally declines due to strength loss, decreased reaction time, vision changes, and reduced sensory input.
Conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis may contribute to instability and walking difficulties.
Some patients experience dizziness or nausea triggered by movement, visual stimulation, busy environments, or changes in position.

Fall prevention therapy helps older adults improve balance, strength, coordination, walking stability, and overall confidence with movement to reduce the risk of falls and injuries. As we age, changes in strength, reaction time, vision, balance, and mobility can increase the likelihood of falling, which may lead to fractures, hospitalizations, and loss of independence. Physical therapy focuses on identifying individual fall risk factors while using personalized exercises and mobility training to improve safety during everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, getting out of bed, and moving around the home or community. Fall prevention therapy can help older adults remain active, independent, and confident while reducing the fear of falling.
If you or anyone you know are a fall risk, the Physical Therapists at Body Tune Physical Therapy and Wellness can help you.
